Daphne
I adopted my dog Daphne, from Forgotten Friends of Long Island in 2018 when she was just 6 months old. This shelter had rescued her from a high kill shelter in Georgia. She was a stray & never lived in a house before. I took her home the same day I got to meet her in person. She was difficult at first & training her was a challenge. She didn't trust me for a while which is understandable. Fast forward 6 years & we are inseparable! She is my best friend & has saved me in so many ways. She has been with me thru so much I couldn't imagine my life without her. Since I adopted her, the facility was able to save another dog that took her place, so in a way, I saved 2 :)
