I recently purchased the MAVPAC backpack, and I have to say, I’m really impressed! The quality is fantastic, and it’s surprisingly spacious. I can fit everything I need for both myself and my pup, which is a game-changer when traveling or going for hikes. It even comes with a handy bag for your dog’s food, which is a thoughtful touch. I also picked up the matching water bottle, and it’s just as high quality as the backpack!
The only thing I would suggest is adding a sleeve on the back of the backpack so that you can easily slide it over the handle of your carry-on luggage. That way, you wouldn’t have to worry about it falling off when you’re traveling. I understand that this might be more of a hiking-focused product, which is why I’m still giving it a 5-star rating. But I think this little tweak would make it even more perfect for those of us who travel often.
Overall, a solid, high quality product that I’d definitely recommend to fellow pet parents!

I’ve been loving this backpack!! We originally intended to use it for hiking and the beach with our pup, but it’s honestly become my everywhere bag! I’ve been using it as a gym bag, errands bag, hiking pack, and everything in between. The zippers are sooo smooth and I like how the top flaps open. There’s even some netting if you wanted to throw a laptop in and keep it separate from the rest of your stuff. Overall would totally recommend!

The great:
- Ample amount of space for all things dog and human. My normal items that I keep in the bag are a towel, first aid kit, camera and lens, treats, jackets, poo bags, and other random accessories.
-Water-resistant (waterproof? I don't remember). Either way, we were outside in a downpour and the inside of the bag stayed dry, which was especially important because my camera was in there.
-Organized and convenient. Loved the different pockets and crevices for specific things. Water bowl zipper, water bottle holder, poop bag slot, etc.
-Sleek looking. Not an ugly bag by any means
My suggestions for a future version or model (these would literally change the game):
-A chest strap and waist strap, or at least the chest strap. Not only does it help keep load off of your shoulders so much, it also allows us photographers to attach the clips to the straps without the camera smacking the crap out of our arms.
-Color options? I do love a classic black. It goes with everything, but Summer in Colorado is harsh and black gets extra hot.
-The treat pouch just slightly lower for easier access.
