Who We Are
MAVPAC was founded in 2022 by Isabella Marchetta, inspired by the remarkable journey of a dog named Maverick. At just two months old, Maverick was surrendered and nearly euthanized after being deemed “too much work.” Thankfully, a no-kill shelter in Southern California gave him a second chance, and that is where the MAVPAC story began.
Isabella discovered Maverick through a social media post. Without hesitation, she drove over 2,500 miles across nine states to bring him home. Maverick’s strength, spirit, and high-energy needs quickly revealed a gap in the market: the available gear simply couldn’t keep up. It lacked the durability required for real adventure and the clean, modern design she wanted as a dog owner.
With no background in product design but a clear vision for what was missing, Isabella began building MAVPAC from the ground up. She researched, sketched, sourced, and iterated — learning by doing and driven by the belief that dogs deserved better, and their owners deserved more.
After months of prototyping and refining ideas through real-world use, MAVPAC launched its first line of modern, functional dog owner gear built for everyday adventure.
MAVPAC exists for dogs who do more and the humans who adventure with them. Every product is a tribute to Maverick’s journey and to the belief that sometimes the best ideas aren’t born from experience, but from love, grit, and the refusal to settle.
What started as one dog’s second chance is now a growing movement to equip dogs everywhere for the adventures they were born to take.
